Biography

Dr. Jensen is Dean, Graduate School and Associate Vice President in Academic Affairs,  Professor of Physical Therapy,  School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and Faculty Associate, Center for Health Policy and Ethics at Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. She came to Creighton University in 1993 when the clinical doctoral program began in physical therapy. From 1999 to 2002, she served as the first program director for the distance-based pathway for the DPT for practicing physical therapists and from 2002 to 2006, she was the Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Assessment in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.

Jensen’s research interests,  publications,  and presentations span the areas of clinical reasoning,  development of expertise, qualitative research, interprofessional education  and assessment.  Jensen has been principal or co-investigator for several federal interdisciplinary grants that focus academic-community partnerships working with Native American communities in northeast Nebraska. She has experience in both specialized and institutional accreditation, serving as a team leader and team member for the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education and as a consultant evaluator and member of the readers panel for the Higher Learning Commission/NCA. She currently serves as a member of the HRSA Federal Advisory Panel on Interdisciplinary and Community-Based Linkages and as chair for the Ethics Committee for the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association.
