This project will provide an opportunity for health professional students to be exposed to challenges of American Indian teenagers through active collaboration with Boys Town to provide diabetes prevention education and health lifestyle management of adolescent girls.  This community engagement/mentoring opportunity will require time commitment over the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2009.  Consequently, a stipend will be provided to DPT and OTD students who make this commitment.  Periodic planning meetings will occur in January 2008.  Monthly meetings will occur during the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2009.
