Physical
Therapy - Dominican Republic Outreach
Physical therapy
students began going to the Dominican Republic in 1996.
Each Spring, physical therapy students of the graduating
class participate in 4 weeks of clinical education in the
Dominican Republic providing professional service to
underserved populations in 7
clinical sites supervised by faculty members and US
licensed clinicians. Besides clinical work, this is an
opportunity for all participants to learn about the Dominican Republic,
its language and its culture.
