  • Diabetes Mellitis
    The pathogenesis, classification, complications, and treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.

 

  • Mental Health/Substance Abuse
    Alcoholism in Native American Culture, relationship between Native American history and alcoholism, philosophy of Winnebago, Nebraska's Drug Dependency Unit, and pharmaceuticals associated with alcoholism and drug dependency.

 

  • Health Care Systems
    Background on the Indian Health Services, Medicare, and Medicaid.  Documentation guidelines for physical therapy and occupational therapy.

 

  • Program Development  
    Overview of program development using the PRECEDE-PROCEED model created by Green and Kreuter to serve as a framework for health promotion.

 

  • Pharmacology and Function
    Discussion of rehabilitation drug effects on human performance using case studies commonly seen in occupational therapy and physical therapy.

 

 

  • Geriatrics Module
